Who we are
Philip James de Vries
Temparc Web is run and managed by web developer Philip James de Vries. Philip has over eight years of experience working in digital media; beginning his online career as an online editor for then-popular music blog Earmilk.com and writer and digital media producer for Canadian music magazine Exclaim! while still enrolled in a undergraduate psychology degree at the University of Guelph. From there, Philip went on to become a webmaster, content producer, and developer for Los Angeles-based music technology company StudioFeed & SubPac and Toronto-based nonprofit Healthy Minds Canada. It was during these years doing web maintenance and management work that Philip decided he wanted to take a more serious approach to web programming; he returned to Humber College in Toronto to obtain a web development diploma before finding full time employment as a full-stack web developer in Toronto.
As a result of his culmination of varied, well-rounded digital experience, in 2017 Philip decided to launch his own company, Temparc Web.
A hobbyist musician who has released music on a number of international record labels over the years, Philip also runs a small, niche electronic music label called Temparc Music in partnership with his primary releasing partner, Ottawa-based Wide Angle Recordings.
